Travel the Island of Hawaii to spiritual places of inspiration with Kumu Keala.
Kumu Keala, lives and breathes aloha into his Hawaiian heritage with his strong presence and great heart, he is dynamic speaker and teacher who will make this workshop a memorable experience.
Kumu Keala Ching is a Hawaiian cultural educator, composer, song writer, and spiritual advisor to many Hawaiian organizations. Kumu Keala is Co-founder and Executive Director of Na Wai Iwi Ola (NWIO) Foundation, founded to perpetuate the Hawaiian culture and practices through hula protocol and ceremonies, the use and study of the Hawaiian language, and by embracing the stories of our kupuna past, present and future. All proceeds of this workshop will benefit NWIO Foundation.
This week long workshop begins at Alula beach where Kumu will share the first concept of healing, along with sharing stories of this sacred area. Throughout the workshop you will experience the Hawaiian culture, food, stories, ti-leaf lei making, hula foundation, chant, and traveling to sacred places including the Pu'uhonua o Honaunau. Plenty of free time to explore the Island and optional activities will be provided. Schedule of events will be sent with registration.
WORKSHOP FEES: $795.00 The fee does not include transportation or accommodations. I will be happy to help with accommodations if needed. If you do not plan to rent a car please let me know and I will make sure you have transportation to and from the activities planned. You should arrange to fly into Kailua Kona.
